What is hypopressives and how does it work?
Hypopressives is a low impact breathing and exercise technique that works to reduce pressure in the pelvic and abdominal cavities. This lifts the pelvic organs and stimulates a contraction of the pelvic floor and deep core muscles, strongly increasing their muscular activity.

A little bit about me - Simone Muller
I am a certified Hypopressives, Pilates and Yoga teacher with over 15 years teaching experience.
My approach is unique as it brings all these disciplines together to deliver
effective results for what your specific body needs.
In 2021 I launched re-centre, an online platform to share
the incredible benefits of the Low Pressure Fitness technique.
When I was 14 years old I moved from Cape Town to London to study
dance. While at the Royal Ballet School I was introduced to
Pilates, and in overcoming a back injury learned the benefits
of Pilates. Although my 15-year dance career and 13 years
teaching Pilates gave me a sound understanding of body mechanics,
I found that after my first child everything changed. I had
sustained a 3rd degree tear and my pelvic floor and abdominals
felt like they had been entirely disconnected.
In 2017 I travelled to Galicia, Spain to learn the Low Pressure Fitness
technique and was the first fully qualified level 3 instructor teaching
Hypopressives in London, UK. After the birth of my second child I started
practising Hypopressives in the UK and the difference in my recovery was immense.
Over the last 7 years my Hypopressives work in the UK and Portugal has been primarily
focused on postpartum rehabilitation and developing a holistic postnatal exercise plan. I have been blown away at
the results my clients get. From prolapse and incontinence reversal
to dramatic Diastasis Recti improvement.
Finding Hypopressive classes near you
I first started teaching Hypopressive classes and one-to-one sessions
at a few studios in and around South East London. However, when Covid
hit I quickly realised that this would all come to an abrupt end
and so I started working on developing re-centre. With an online
video platform I am now able to connect with all my existing clients
as well as be accessible to the broader postpartum community, helping
them learn the Hypopressives technique so that they can get started
with the beginner classes and work their way up to the intermediate
and more advanced levels.
Even with Covid mostly behind us I have found that the live
and recorded online classes are the ideal solution for my
clients, as many of them are juggling kids and work and
everything else in between. The online classes on re-centre
range from anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour and give everyone
the opportunity to fit in a class at some point during their
busy day. That is not to say that I don’t love teaching
Hypopressives in person and I still see clients in my studio
on a regular basis. I am also setting-up Hypopressive workshops
and retreats in the near future and will
let clients know when these will be happening.
